Medical Supplies and Equipment Sent to Hospitals in Malawi

MBF 6.10.25

BBF recently sent a 40-foot container of medical aid to Medical Benevolence Foundation for distribution to partner hospitals in Malawi. The shipment included several pallets of medical supplies, medications, and durable equipment to support patient care and clinical operations.

Among the items shipped were medications commonly used to manage high blood pressure and heart conditions, treat bacterial infections, replenish electrolytes, and relieve skin inflammation. These medications support a wide range of patient needs, from routine care to more complex chronic conditions. The container also carried multiple homecare beds, foam mattresses, blood drawing chairs, over-bed tables, a 3-in-1 stander for patients with special needs, and a wooden transfer board. Office furnishings such as chairs and desks were included to support administrative functions within the facilities.

Several pallets of FIGS-brand medical scrubs were provided for clinical staff, along with thousands of isolation gowns, exam gloves, pipette tips, and other essential consumables. Injection supplies included a large quantity of safety hypodermic needles to support safe and sterile medical procedures.

This shipment provided a substantial volume of critical resources intended to strengthen daily hospital operations and improve patient safety. BBF’s ongoing partnership with Medical Benevolence Foundation continues to help increase access to reliable healthcare in under-resourced communities.
